We went to Aubrey's 5th PT appointment today. Her therapist is very happy with her progress. Since she is now officially a crawler we are working on pulling up. She moved us to once a month therapy and when she sees us in a month she really wants to see her pulling up proficiently and starting to cruise. So she gave us some exercises to work on.
I don't know if I ever posted this, but one reason she has been so reluctant to become a stander is that her hips are tight. That basically means she is just tight in the hip area (it's worse on her right side than the left) and she is reluctant to stretch them out to the standing position. I don't know why exactly they are tight though, but we are doing exercises to get her to want to straighten them out more. It takes both me and Wes and we literally have to just stretch her out on her belly and then just gently pull on her legs and massage them around that area. It takes both us of because she screams the entire time when only one of us is doing it. So one entertains and the other does it. All about the team work lol.
So therapy is going well and the best news was that she is all caught up with what she should be doing at her age. This is such a relief. I'm glad we'll be able to go into her 12 month appointment in October and show Dr. Meadows a happy standing, crawling baby. And it would just be a bonus if she was walking lol.
